about

An airy song about losing a sense of home. Jangling guitars that sound like a faint memory float over a chugging rhythm section making you long for an adolescence that ended too soon. We recorded this one in a former East German office building in the greyest part of Berlin.

lyrics

My feet drag behind me
In this habitual city
On the paved roads, and the cobblestones
Nothing here is unknown
Until I left it behind

The bartenders here all know me
From my old high school
There's noone here left to meet
By now that much is clear
I'm left with that constant question
Why am I still here?

But there's something sedately sweet
About knowing every street
Every bar, every windy corner
That's never changed
Now home starts fading away
But I'll be back next year

take on a young man's ascent into adulthood.
